Day 1

Let the Amazon Adventure Begin!

The tour begins at the Cuyabeno Bridge entrance to the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This will be the meeting point with our naturalist guide.

There are three options for getting to this point: private transportation, public bus, or car. Our team can help you book private transportation from Quito to the Cuyabeno entrance.

Upon arrival, lunch will be served, and we’ll begin our first Amazon exploration by motorized canoe. As we glide down the Cuyabeno River, you’ll hear the sounds of the jungle come alive—spotting birds, monkeys, and other incredible wildlife along the way. Your naturalist guide will share insights into the unique relationships between plants and animals within this vibrant ecosystem.

We’ll then arrive at our Ecolodge, where you’ll settle into your private cabin. After dinner, your native guide will give an introductory briefing about the activities and experiences planned for the coming days in the Cuyabeno Reserve.

Days 2 & 3

Deep into the Ecuadorian Rainforest

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll set off on a trek through primary rainforest to learn about medicinal plants, exotic insects, vibrant birdlife, and the amazing biodiversity that surrounds us.

After lunch, enjoy a relaxing break by the river or a nap in one of our comfortable hammocks. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Laguna Grande, where you’ll have a chance to swim in its mystical waters and admire a stunning Amazon sunset. As night falls, we’ll embark on a night canoe ride to search for Amazon caimans and other nocturnal wildlife.

One evening, we’ll go on a night jungle walk, perfect for spotting frogs, insects, and experiencing the rainforest's mysterious nighttime atmosphere.

Connect with the Siona Culture – Half-Day Experience

After breakfast, we’ll travel by canoe to visit the Siona Indigenous Community, where you’ll get to know their way of life, ancient traditions, and customs. You’ll learn how to prepare cassava bread (Casabe) using native techniques passed down through generations.

Later, meet the community’s shaman, who will share his spiritual worldview and healing practices, offering a rare and powerful insight into the Amazon’s mystical dimension. You'll also have the chance to purchase beautiful handmade crafts created by the local artisans. We’ll return to the lodge in the evening for a delicious dinner.

Day 4

From the Jungle Back to Civilization

We’ll start early with a peaceful birdwatching canoe ride, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, we will begin the return trip along the Cuyabeno River to the entrance bridge of the reserve (11:00 a.m.), where you can take your transportation back home. End of our services.

Important Note: The order and timing of activities may change depending on weather conditions, the season, group dynamics, and the guide’s decisions—always prioritizing your safety and the best possible experience.
